Welcome to the new Trammell Starks website!

As a result of the overwhelming enthusiasm displayed by the many loyal fans who have sought out the local forecast music that I wrote for The Weather Channel years ago, I have begun work on a new project: Jet Stream. This album will reflect the style of my Local Forecast music, but it will also reflect my techncal and musical growth in these ensuing years. I really hope you will be as enthusiastic about the new music as you have been for the original Local on the 8s music!

I am joined by a wonderful group of musicians for this recording including Grammy winning saxophonist Mace Hibbard, guitar virtuoso Chris Blackwell, jazz great Melvin Jones on trumpet, Chinua Hawk on vocals, and legendary drum virtuoso Sonny Emory (David Sanborn, Lee Ritenour, Bruce Hornsby, Earth, Wind and Fire). Also on drums is Dr John David who recently completed his doctoral thesis from the University of Miami in Jazz Performance.
